Account security
Protect every sign-in with a second step.
Why it matters
A stolen password alone is not enough to get into your phone system.
What it does
Owners, administrators and employees can turn on two-step sign-in with an authenticator app. Repeated wrong passwords lock the account for a time, and sessions end after a period of inactivity.
How it works
- The user opens Settings, or their extension page.
- They scan the code with an authenticator app and enter the first code.
- From then on, signing in asks for a code.
Example
An owner turns on two-step sign-in on the day the business goes live.
Setting it up (administrators)
- Open Settings and choose Two-step sign-in.
- Ask employees to turn it on from their extension page.
What employees experience
- Employees turn on two-step sign-in on the personal extension page and can forget trusted devices.
Works with
- IVRC business console (any web browser), used by owners and administrators
- Personal extension page (any web browser), used by each employee
Plan availability
This is part of the IVRC business account itself rather than an option of a particular plan, so it is not listed plan by plan.
Add-ons
There are no add-ons for this feature.
Good to know
- Two-step sign-in is chosen by each user; it is not forced by default.
