Greetings and messages

Callers hear your words in a natural voice, or your own recording.

Why it matters

Your greeting sounds like your business without a recording session every time something changes.

What it does

Write your greetings and messages as text, with tags such as today's opening hours, and IVRC speaks them in the voice you choose for each language.

Where the plan includes it, upload your own recorded audio for greetings and menu prompts instead of the built-in voices.

How it works

  1. You edit the words on the Greetings page.
  2. IVRC prepares and stores the audio for each language.
  3. Callers hear the greeting at the next call; Use the written words again returns to text at any time.

Example

A restaurant changes its holiday hours in the morning, edits one sentence and callers hear the new hours at lunchtime.

Setting it up (administrators)

  1. Open Greetings and edit the written words.
  2. Choose a voice for each language where the plan allows it.
  3. Upload audio on the same page if the plan includes your own audio files.

What employees experience

  • Employees record or write their own voicemail greeting on their personal extension page.

Works with

  • IVRC business console (any web browser), used by owners and administrators
  • Personal extension page (any web browser), used by each employee
  • Any phone: callers need nothing but your business number
